Terrific showing by him. He kept that jabbing running all night which applied to much pressure and ultimately won him the fight. Great fight.
beautiful display by the ghost..... reminded me of gatti when gatti would break or hurt his hand and still bang it out....or atleast try
Ghost boxed better than Mallignaggi. He actually hurt his guy while moving and controlling distance. For a while I thought he was going to lay down, but he actually pulled through the last two rounds on my card to get a close win. I thought he showed a great amount of heart to keep on working like he did, but, no one wants to talk about that.
yeah klassen isnt in the same league as diaz. what malignaggi did was more inpresive especially in someone elses hometown
The Ghost did his thing - but if you don't think Paulie has a good arguement on his hands - then you're crazy or from Texas.
what i hate are the trainers who's end all be all answer to every problem is "you gotta throw more shots". later in tonights guerrero fight against klassen or round bout the 5th 6th guerrero looked to be getting abit gassed. anyway he had his hands too low. his workrate was terrific if a little forced. causing him to lose zip but he kept throwing. it was at that point his corner should have instructed him to tighten up the defense, get his left up. because he was getting hit with the heavier potshots from klassen. and should have told guerrero to keep throwing the combos, however to be more judicious with them because the result was two fold he was losing his zip and getting armweary, leaving his hands low and getting tagged more than he should have. so what does his corner tell him? "we need more shots" .they are very lucky to get out of there without getting knocked, much less with the decision. two more rounds and i'm sure robert would have been kissing canvas. *
I wasn't impress cause all Guerrero did was doing the same thing over and over again. And he was thowing pitty punches. He's lucky Klesson waited too long to do something. I notice the crowd was bored by it.
You're crazy, the ghost fought a great fight. "Lucky" my ass. If Klesson can't stop a guy from doing "the same thing over and over again" then he deserves to lose.
That was a terrible fight, Guerrero is not the real deal. He was getting hit clean and if Klassen knew the first thing about how to box a southpaw he could have won. He was annoying the hell out of me voluntarily moving in the wrong direction and then throwing straight rights across his body, move left and throw a left hook you moron. The few that he did throw were solid shots. It looked like all Klassen had to do was open up and move in the proper direction, I'm angry just thinking about it. Guerrero looked like a slapper and a vulnerable one at that, though if his hand was broken that is totally excusable and quite gutsy. Overall it was a frustrating and boring fight. Also we can't forget when he quit against Yordan, HBO was hyping the wrong guy. I'd love to see Yordan fight again and could care less about seeing Guerrero, not that he's a bad fighter I just don't find him entertaining.
I don't even think it was a great fight. The ghost basically did the same thing jab, jab, jab, jab right left land, jab, jab, jab, jab straight left while moving to the right.
It wasn't even close to being a "great" fight. What it was was a gutty performance by a young fighter whose heart has been questioned. Klassen wasn't dynamic enough to turn it into a great fight.
