One of the most bodacious left hook knockdowns I've ever seen from that fight. I never forgot it. Along with the very funny "Ruddock goes down like a pancake!' commentator line if I remember correctly (didn't rewatch just now). You know pancakes. They...just always go down?
Absolutely insane that Ruddock ever got up to his feet. Remarkable, he looked like he was dead when he went down.
Amazing left hook, shitty stoppage though. Who knows what would of happened if he made it out of the round with Morrison already tired.
i agree the stoppage seemed ****. i mean ruddock was responsive and at least trying to defend himself. probably wouldn't have changed the result, but he earned a little more time having regrouped from that hook. aslo the standing 8 just before looked a little premature also
Probably my favorite fight of all time. I loved heavies, and that was a great matchup with plenty of excitement. Definatly a fight worth rewatching.
Morrison was just about always exciting. A great hook and power but no chin. When he fought, you knew something was going to happen.
