I watched that a couple months back. I had forgotten just how awesome it was. Vazquez, as always, showed that he had something inside of him that not many fighters possess. One of the sport's truest warriors. Gonzalez is a solid fighter also. Tremendous power.
if i remember right this fight was the undercard of a PPV fight, which sucks cause it wasnt seen by many fans
I just wonder why Israel Vazquez quit fighting too soon. I watched the live fight when he knocked out Johny who knocked him down twice. Very impressive.
he quit because he had alot of wars, and dude had made scar tissue around his eyes, it got to a point where he had a horrific cut everytime out, most time on both eyes
What a great fight. Izzy was always great to watch. I believe this fight was on the undercard of the Barrera-Juarez rematch.
Not just a forgotten fight but it seems Jhonny Gonzales is a forgotten fighter. Underrated and never really talked about - great wee fighter.
