    George Benton was a real master of the slip and counter. His technique was the prototype of the shoulder roll that we see today.

    He helped shape Pernell Whitaker into the great fighter that we all know today. His corner advice to his fighters are great, really knows his stuff in the ring. He and Lou Duva worked together to make other fighters such as Evander Holyfield and Meldrick Taylor.

    Another guy that should be mentioned is Ian Napa. James Toney but without the punch.

    some of these guys get their credit as slicksters, mind you. there are six ATG's on that list. they're oft forgotten, though, or at least not mentioned as slicksters, often a term used for modern fighters, and smaller guys.


    my personal favorite addition is chris byrd. he was very good at getting out of the way of right hands, and nobody really remembers it.



    edit: just went through the thread and found almost all of my additions have been mentioned.
