ray austin vs sultan ibragimov - a fight which i expected nothing to come of it but an easy win for ibragimov turns out to be a gotdamn blood and guts war with both fighters hitting the canvas....the draw was justified although i though austin won it by a point..this fight made me a complete ray austin fan...i hope he can at least get his hands on a heavyweight belt before age catches up with him

This was a really good fight. And to note, Moorer was still IBF champ so this was for a bauble. I believe Botha broke Moorer's jaw in this fight but Moorer's sharpshooting caught up to him.

Does this one exist on film? I've seen it cited on numerous occasions.

The first two that come to mind are Ali-Norton 2 and Ali-Frazier 2. The Norton one was the best of their trilogy. The second Frazier one tends to get overshadowed by their first and third, and justifiably so. It was still a damn good scrap, though.

Great picks. Rahman's win over Sanders is probably his best; it was the closest thing to Foreman-Lyle that the heavyweights have produced for a long time.

Ruddock vs. Morrison is one of my favourites. Again, probably Tommy's best win.

Lyakhovich vs. Brewster was a shock, because it's the only time I've ever seen Serguei in an interesting fight. I suppose Brewster has a habit of getting an entertaining fight out of anyone, ie. march forward, swing big punches and dare your opponent to try to knock you out.

Michael Dokes vs. Gerrie Coetzee is a favourite of mine.

Botha vs. Briggs. Francois' best ever performance, and he was robbed!

The sport should be so lucky as to have another guy like Bobby Crabtree.

Another fight I thought was decent and better than expected was Bowe KO8 Biggs.

Biggs had been stopped by Tyson (LKOby7, no shame in that), Damiani (LKOby5 (cuts), who he had beat several times as an amateur), and Gary Mason (LKOby7) but he gave Bowe fits. He was stopped in 3 by Lewis in his next fight.

That was a good fight. Seldon looked good thru the first 8 rounds. Going into round 9 he was up on all 3 cards. McCall actually started picking up the pace in round 7 and started busting up Seldon's face by this point despite being down a few points. Seldon was boxing well and htting McCall with good shots even in the first half of round 9. McCall was unphased and still had plenty of stamina... in the 9th round he dropped Seldon 3 times (3 knockdown rule in effect).

Good win for McCall in Seldon's backyard. This set up some good fights for McCall. McCall had lost decisions to Orlin Norris (split-decision), Buster Douglas, and even Mike Hunter among others. After Seldon he went on to face Tony Tucker LSD12, Damiani KO8, Lennox Lewis KO2, Larry Holmes W12, and others.
