Former Bad Boyz pro boxer Herbert Acevedo fights in California tonight

    Boxing back in Commerce, CA

    Two fighters from abroad who train at Robert Garcia’s Boxing Academy in Oxnard will also be on the card.

    Unbeaten lightweight Herbert Acevedo (3-0, 1 KO) of Garden City, KS, will take on Ivan Lopez in a four round bout.

    Lopez will be making his professional debut.

    Herbert beat Tony Avila in his hometown of Chicago and Teddy Atlas refused to say Acevedo's name, let alone give him credit for the win.

    Herbert won by KO in the 4th round. He is now 4-0. :happy

    Bad Boyz Boxing Club Lightweight Herbert Acevedo remained unbeaten with a fourth round stoppage victory over Ivan Lopez. Acevedo (4-0, 2 KO’s) dropped Lopez in the first round. Lopez, who was making his professional debut, did what he could to survive, but could not keep the wild-swinging Acevedo off of him. In the fourth, Acevedo landed a barrage of punches to the head against a defenseless Lopez, prompting referee David Denkin to step in and stop the bout .


    and....Also on the All Star Boxing Promotions-card, lightweight Herbert Acevedo stopped Ivan Lopez in the fourth round. Acevedo, who hails from Garden City, Kan., dropped Lopez in the first round and hurt him again in the fourth, prompting referee David Denkin to stop the bout at 1:06. Acevedo improves to 4-0, with 2 KO’s. Lopez, from Los Angeles, was making his professional debut.
