McGuigan stated that Garcia hits harder than Pac at 147 but does he? His punches had no effect on Spence, McGuigan also stated at 5'7 Garcia is too small to beat an elite welter, I feel Spence beat Garcia because he`s a more skilled fighter.

He’s right. Everyone who spars Mikey says he hits like a brick. And I also say he is too small to beat the elite welters, being Spence and Crawford, but will beat most others.

    oh, ok.

Still not sure why he'd use % as a means to gauge power as opposed to who he had to hit- & their ability to take punches. As we know the higher one moves up in ranks- the tougher opponents are [supposed] to be.

Not always, often it`s the fighter with the better fundamentals.

Been in the presence of Barry a few years ago. Good man, but Pac was/is strong at every weight he's ever campaigned at. Around 147? I will take Shane's words!

They are in the same league, but bud is naturally bigger. If Mikey had moved to jr welter instead and taken care of Regis and Taylor, they would be neck and neck in the p4p lists.

A single Punch from Mikey Garcia is obviously harder than a Single punch from Pacman. Lots of 5'06" Davoan & Cebuan kids can punch harder than Pacman, that doesn't prove anything!

Pacman is leagues above the rest when it comes to offense, he makes up for it by quantity of landed full-force punches, two clean Pacman punches landing at fast succession are enough to stop any boxer. That is how he was able to humiliate the bigger guys (Bob Arum bulked him to absorb more punishment & push the bigger guys around)

Peak Pacman will more than likely stop Mikey Garcia (if Mikey Garcia can't KO him right away), we don't even know if Mikey Garcia can stop smaller Tank Davis....Let Alone Prime Pacman, current Pacman poses the same threat level as current Tank Davis

Mikey Garcia is about an inch taller than Pacman, so its possible than he hits 1%-3% harder than Pacman

Pacman throws & lands much more, at every angle....So judging Pacman by his Single punch power is meaningless, he is the best of his generation when it comes to suppressive combination punching power, the disparity of combos between Pacman & his opponents is Auto vs Semi-Auto

FIrst off, imo Spence beat Garcia because he's bigger, faster, and stronger. Just an overall bigger fighter.
When a fighter is bigger than you are, you have two things you can work with to beat it, speed and skill.
Now I thought their skill level was comparable but even if Mikey's skill was a bit better, I ask myself was he faster than
    Spence?.…..and the answer was no.
What does this all equate to???? It equates to a good big man beating a good little man.

I do however think that Garcia hits harder than Pacquiao. Garcia in this fight with Vargas hurt and had him stunned on numerous occasions, Pacquiao wasn't able to do that to Garcia.
Paquiao has been able to drop fighters at welter mainly because he's so fast and his opponents have gone down from punches they don't see coming. A finisher Pacquiao is not at welter and its mainly because he's not a big puncher at 147 lbs.
Not saying that Garcia is a big puncher at 147 lbs but imo he punches harder than Pacquiao.
