    Agreed.

Although, let's not forget, lack of resolve is only one problem the organizations face. They're always at least one step behind: you can't develop a test for anything until you know what to test for, many PED's are still either untestable entirely or aren't effective enough to warrant their higher cost, and the budget of the PED creators far outstrips the budget of the authorities. Given the difference in budgets and how much more money there is in "playing dirty", the testing game is also ripe for corruption.

That's why they have to rely on information leaks or whistleblowers to catch athletes now. Testing is woefully ineffective at landing anyone beyond those too stupid to beat it and those who are genuinely unlucky.

It's absolutely HUGE in Canada and the UK...among other places. Learn the rules and check out a few matches. You'll absolutely gain an appreciation for the skill involved.

maybe in the more remote areas of scotland, but curling is far from huge in the uk. virtually unknown would be more accurate.

a german university investigation reports 3 german players doped in the 1966 world cup final. for the record, england won regardless.

    Interesting.

It's still odd to include curling in a list of most doped sports and then leave out obvious ones like sprinting and football.

Sorry, I was primarily(and incorrectly, for obvious reasons) referring to Ireland when I mentioned the UK.

"PEDS" does not equal steroids. It's a much broader term.

Maybe riders are taking stuff to drop weight. Or to increase their reflexes. Or who knows? there's so much designer stuff out there now, it's impossible to even keep track.

I'd be shocked if Equestrian didn't also include the horses, which have to be tested just like most other athletes. Steroids were rife in the sport.

For riders, I'd figure speed (either old school amphetamines or Adderall) is the order of the day to increase focus and stay sharp.

Check out Marquez' conditioning trainer's testimony, he rated on is friends to keep from going to prison. He is the world's top steroid expert and the world's top expert on cheating the drug tests. He got immunity for such................
