Let's not forget about Ray Mercer's 10 second KO of some MMA guy whose name I can't recall.

It's probably more like 1-2, let's not forget Mercer's loss to the legendary hall of famer Kimbo Slice....

That was an exhibition bout where there was supposedly a gentleman agreement that it would stay standing but never did.

if we're gonna make an excuse for this..then we might as well mention the fact that sylvia vs mercer was , originally , supposed to be a boxing match....but since they wouldn't allow it , they did it under mma rules...but that didn't change much since the 310 lbs heavy Sylvia wanted to outstrike Mercer and beat him at his own game.

the way i see it , any arrogant mma fighter will get killed without a smart & safe gameplan. Mercer (or any boxer...including Toney) will always have a puncher's chance... It depends on the opponent...

Sylvia fought him in a MMA fight and he can execute how he likes but he lost.

The Kimbo bout was an exhibition so its not official. Otherwise lets count sparring contests that are on tape. There was also a gentlemans agreement to stand (not the first time its happened in a Kimbo fight except this time Kimbo was the one who didn't comply).

    I'm just stating the truth.

PS - Mercer went for a double leg after the ko!

Only thing I can find at the moment is on Wiki.
Mercer later stated in the press conference at Adrenaline III: Bragging Rights when he was scheduled to fight Tim Sylvia under MMA rules instead of Boxing rules that he had expected Kimbo Slice to box with him and said that he did not really train in any other aspect of MMA and was unprepared for the guillotine choke.

Wiki is not the best source and that quote does not mean they agreed to keep it standing, just that he expected Kimbo to box him. He said this in a few interviews and he based it on Kimbos youtube videos.

    Actually 1-4-1.

Ali drew with Inoki but with all the rules Ali insisted on lets make it a win for Inoki.

Even the greatest was **** scared to fight a grappler.
