    How far does he go?

    In an era of Larry Holmes and (later) Mike Tyson as well as skilled underachievers like Witherspoon, Thomas, Dokes, Carl Williams etc.

    Does he get title shot?
    Or will be a jorneyman like Ribalta?
    Or trial horse like Eddie Richardson and Sammy Scaff?

    Thoughts?

    I think he'd be a club fighter for most of his career but his size and power would at some point lead to him scoring a lucky knockout over someone ranked.. But would he ever be a top player ? Probably not.

    Too soon to tell. Right now, he has only one win over a top 20 hw, and while he was winning, it was by a nonko injury in the third. We don't have the body of work yet to tell how good he is.

    I don't think he wins a belt. I don't think he even carries Ribalta's mouth piece. A bit too soon to tell but we know he can't count to 10...

    All we know so far is that he can beat an injured man and beat Tom Dallas.

    That and the fact that he is easily outclassed by AJ.

    Based upon that, you'd have to say he would probably get found out before he hits the top ten. But he could make it I suppose based upon matchmaking. Who's matchmaking him, etc.? All things being equal he'd go nowhere.

    Martin is terrible. No fundamentals. Limited athletically. And not much punch resistance.

    He could get a title shot the same way he did last weekend. Bogus rankings, by fighting nobodies.

    He would be Wlad's weakest title defense, and perhaps one of Holmes weakest title defenses. These two had 18-20 title defenses, so that's saying a lot.

    Getting bombed out by Joshua is only his first foray into top 10

    I think how he bounces back will give us a better idea, I personally didn't think the 80's era of heavies were as bad as some here suggest.
