But Mayweather has never done this. He's been older than most of his opponents the last few years so it would be foolish to try and out-wait a younger foe.

Not for a 55/45 split. That's sure. And he does the right thing. He would be utterly d umb if he accepts that.

Canelo running from GGG....just like Oscar did in the Tito fight...plus Oscar faked that K.O. against Hopkins his business partner. Canelo & Oscar: the Pollo Brothers.

Choosing not to get brutally beaten to a bloody pulp is usually a smart move.

This is bull. No fighter "needs" another fighter. Even if Golovkin decimates Canelo he doesn't suddenly steal Canelos marketing. If ggg never fights Canelo he will still make a ton of bank. His level of greatness, like every other fighter, will be debated.

Yet GGG fans said business over sport when it came to ward...no surprises there.

The loss of speed pacquaio showed in the Algeri fight showed a fighter that had lost a step. Getting drilled by Marquez also did not help. Mayweather would never had stepped in the ring with pacman that took out hatton and cotto

Yeah because Mayweather was just as fast as ever at the ripe old age of 38. He tried to get Manny back in 2010, but Manny ran away from the drug testing. The same testing he ultimately accepted in 2015.Hmmmm...

ROFLMAO !! Pollo made a great business decision????
The Mexican fans, his own countrymen, have disowned him. They call him El Pollo The Chicken. They say he's a coward & no Mexican is a coward
If he'd grown a set gone ahead & fought GGG they'd have stuck by him even if he lost. He'd have credibility & respect. He has neither now. What other Mexican champion gave up a title because he was afraid to fight, afraid of getting beaten??
NO ONE!! Canelo may as well retire now He's finished

After reading all these "boxing is a business" weirdos prattle on about other men's finances, just makes me feel like scrubbing down with a wire brush and taking a bath in rubbing alcohol.

Stop being so naive, boxing IS a business first and foremost. I doubt any serious boxing fan is happy about that but you can't walk around with your head up your ass trying to deny that.

Never did I deny that Einstein. It just makes me sick and it is a microcosm of this shallow, degenerate, consumer driven society.

Money trump everything including character and honor. Yeah: I get it already..............
