Sport's ugliest aspect, the usage of illegal substances is a topic boxing has to deal with. Roy Jones Jr., Fernando Vargas, James Toney, Evander Holyfield and other big names were caught on using steroids, but Mosley's case could get the biggest media attention.

Mr. Mosley admitted to me that he knew the drugs provided to him by Mr. Conte were illegal performance-enhancing drugs, - says former trainer rainer Derryl Hudson, who claimed in court papers that he watched Mosley inject the endurance-boosting drug EPO in the weeks before a title bout.

That's pretty bad for Mosley, who admitted he took what the trainer recommended for him but never knew the substances were illegal... now the trainer and steroid dealer Victor Conte says otherwise in court... :-(

So the Mosley vs. the steroid saga continues and I think we have to deal with the subject since it is a problem in todays boxing as well... most HWs are taking illegal substances anyway, and something has to be done...

I found it to be suspicious that he didn't know what was going into his body. I mean you are an athlete and your body is your way of life. I seriously doubt you are gonna let someone inject something into your body without knowing what it is.

He knew. I mean a pro like him not knowing? Come on, I can understand if your Vargas and young and stupid. But Mosley? No way, he knew.

He lost some greatness in my eyes, how long has he been doing it?

Well I thought so all along. You're basically an idiot if you buy the whole, "oh I didn't know what I was taking," argument from these cheating athletes. That entire defense sounds as lame as the, "I smoked but I didn't inhale," line. I mean who here in their right mind would take a substance without first asking what it contained?

Mosley, like all these other cheating athletes knew what they took and are guilty, plain and simple.

This is no surprise, when Mosley moved from 135lbs to 147lbs and was still ripped I knew he was on something. Twelve pounds of muscle in a short time,
not easily done, same for Evander.:-(

Not to mention that somehow in the Oscar rematch he seemed to be the stronger man when in the original fight a division below he was clearly the smaller, weaker man. That right there first alerted my interest.

If this is the route the sport is going then alot of fighters are going to start having health issues fairly soon. I hope this is a rare occurence but in this day and age anything is possible.
