Former UFC Heavyweight champion loses to a complete bum in boxing

He was so overweight and wasn't a striker to begin with. All the people going "HAHA SEE BOXING IS BETTER!!!!" need to chill out, Mercer was brutally beat down when he tried to move to MMA.

 

Obviously boxers are going to be better at BOXING. People don't say that the MMA Heavyweight champ would kill Wlad in a boxing match, he would get beat down but in a MMA bout Wlad would get killed.

And Ricco was past it and 50 pounds overweight numbnuts.

 

Needs to be kept relative. An old, shot Ray Mercer would not lose to the mma equivalent of the guy Ricco lost to...

Not comparing the sports, comparing the two matchups.

Ricco should be humiliated. He fought the worst of the worst. Mercer fought a B/C+ fighter.

I rarely like to insult people on this forum but you are an idiot. It takes tremendous skill and training to become only a contender at either boxing or MMA. Plenty of MMA fighters in the past were olympic athletes too.

Some were olympic medalists from wrestling for example, but then again, I´m sure they just took a break from cooking fries at fat burger to roll around with a few slobs at those lousy olympics to get medals.

Go win a belt in UFC if it´s that easy, moron, or are you maybe even more of a bum than a fry cook? :hi:

Keep in mind guys that MMA might just be a fad, just like Poker was a few years ago. Poker was huge. Many shows on about it and merchandise were selling in every store and ppl claim it could be bigger than any sport! Now its dead...So who knows about MMA. still too young.
