Now imagine for a moment what David Tua wouldve done to the guy, even Tua now to make it fair. I'll sometimes watch MMA if nothing else is on but compared to boxing mma sucks, theres no depth, too much hugging, holding and other bull****.
No depth to much hugging ? WTF do you call Hopkins,Ruiz,Klitschko ETC ? Not enough depth MMA is depth brother boxing is great but very limited compared to MMA theres a couple of ways of boxing and brawling thats it. MMA you can win your fights via takedowns over and over and just ground control, submissions, doing well in the several different clinches, pulling guard to work your submissiom game if you cant take your opponet down, ground and pound, outboxing someone, brawling with them, outstriking them with Muay Thai skills ETC. Go try BJJ its a great art and so many details to such a basic looking move on TV. Try in Armbar from the crossside postion you need to have a knee down by the hip and one up in the opponets armpit for good base and of course weight on his chest so he cant go anywhere then work on bringing his outside arm into your chest then stepping one leg around to underneath his back and dropping to your ass all the while keeping everything tight like a good grip on his arm with his thumb pointed up it makes a difference and keeping your knees squeezed together for that extra pressure and even raising your hips once your on the ground.
Yeah I mean look bro you didnt even mention Matt Lindland 96 Olympic Gold winner in Greco Roman,Yoshida that Olympic Gold winner in Judo that year. **** Maurice is a great one to use hes widely considered to be one the all time great kickboxers ever. BJ Penn,Arona,Gonzaga just a few of guys who have won the ADCCs or Mundials which is top of the line for Submission Wrestling or BJJ. People are such ****ing morons man to make comments like these guys cant hack it in real sports.
Ufc is entertaining to watch and all, but you could get some dude in a bar and have him fight chuck liddel or jasckson and it'll look good. get a dude in the bar to fight b hop, wlad, toney, cotto or margo and it would look sad. that work on the floor ufc fighter do takes skills, but there stand up is ****. if you get a guy who can somewhat box and lift weights he'd be pretty high up in ufc. Rashad evans started training for ufc 4 years ago and now hes a top contender.
Yeah, their ground game displays more skill then there stand up game. But their stand up game is bull****
