I think there needs to be a distinction between racism and not believing multi culturalism works. My mum emigrated to england from trinidad but she became as english as anyone. I personally feel that society has gone down the shitter, 1 of the issues being the segmentation due to multi culturalism so thought that if you cant beat them join them, and now live and work in thailand. Thailand is one of the most racist countries in the world so i am often frustrated by their prejudice however, i can understand their annoyance as they are at an earlier stage of the dilution of their culture. It will happen eventually though. While i have no problem with thais individually i feel more comfortable and have more fun with fellow british. I am now one of the people i criticised for their lack of integration in the uk. Would prefer if none of this multiculturalism had ever happened though.
Didn't read as they are no paragraphs but if you're defending that racist **** then **** off. He is racist, its irrefutable.
I don't see the big deal. If he has racist views, those are his views. Being racist doesn't necessarily make you a bad person, just as being a homophobe, or any other ''ist'' you can think of. Not saying I agree with him, far from it, but some people get WAY too hung up on racism for me, yet don't give a **** about anything else, seemingly.
I hate racists, black people, white people, patriots, fat people, gays, skinny people, straight people, homophobes, brown people, Catholics, atheists, Muslims, Buddhist, paedos, rich people, poor people, old people, young people, men, women and ******s. Oh and the queen .
So your attacking me for just expressing an opinion? I thought i made it quite clear why i left england - i felt that society in uk was fragmented beyond belief. No sense of unity or togetherness. No trust in our neighbours. Every ****er for himself. I remember the days when people said hi walking past a stranger in your street. You'd more likely get into a scrap for doing that now. They still do that in thailand by the way, but not to me cos im a foreigner!
So you moved from a country where you FELT segregated, to a country where you ARE segregated? Kudos pal
That's your opinion. It doesn't really bother me to be honest. If people don't like [insert here] people that's their business, not mine. Blinkered/ignorant yes, but bad.... not for me.
Not quite what i said tbh. I felt society was a pit because of the fragmentation. Im in the minority here but society is generally strong - never felt safer :good
Really? In Bangkok? Granted I've only spent a few days there but its never struck me as safe. Hong Kong, on the other hand is pretty much the safest big city in the world.
