He's got the belt, he beat the champion, he has the lineal championship, therefore he is the real champ, thats all there is to it. Theres a lot of ways this fight can go, but I think Forrest wins most of the time. Rashad's power is still a big question mark, obviously he has it, but in all of his fights before Chuck, he never really KO'd people with punches; his boxing technique and spacing are quite good, but he can also be pretty passive, which is a good way to lose to Forrest. Rashad has great takedowns, but seems less apt to use them with each fight, using his wrestling more like Liddell does, to keep the fight standing, and to be honest I don't know if thats a good idea against Forrest or a bad one. Forrest has really improved the technique in his stand up, he has come along way in that area. I just can't really get a feel for how this fight will go, on the ground Forrest is better, but can he get the takedown if he wants it? Will Rashad want the takedown? Is Rashad's power what we saw from him in the Liddell fight, or what weve seen in most of his other fights? Is Rashad's conditioning as good as Forrests? All in all I think Forrest grinds out a win, probably late in the fight by either GnP or a sub, or a decision. Rashad by KO is a real possiblity too, but I just don't think he will get the chance to get planted and throw full force like he did against Liddell. I wouldn't bet on the fight, but I would pick Forrest if there was a gun to my head.
