If Shogun comes in like he did vs Jones with love handles, out of breath in 2 minutes and slow as slug then Griffin beats him even easier then the 1st fight. That said if Shogun decides to come in peak shape then IMO his striking is far superior and he gets a KO maybe a brutal one. Love this fight though the rematch now makes alot of sense.

    Agreed.

An out of shape Shogun is no longer one of the best ever. An in shape Shogun is a devastating prospect.

Griffin did not have what it takes to beat a peak Shogun and he almost doesn't have what it takes to beat this Shogun BUT his wrestling is being used more now and that could spell serious danger.

This definitely makes sense. Shogun was supposedly 100% coming into the Jones fight, but he sure as **** better be on point for this one. Forrest is becoming a much smarter fighter, while "healthy/in shape" Shogun is turning into "motivated" BJ Penn or "focused" Vitor as far as talent/potential vs performance.

If Griffin can apply the same strategy in this rematch as he did in the Rich Franklin fights its going to be tough for alot of guys including Shogun to defeat him. Griffin has a good top guy and he obviously is very big and hard to get off. This would wear down Shogun and Forrest would stop or submitt him agian.

Great fight. A lot of this fight depends on how mentally ****ed Shogun is from that beating Jones gave him.

    Griffin takes it.
