In my opinion, Beekeeper is above this poster thus far. MushableMandible has just surpassed HENDO in my poster rankings.

A gatekeeper with wins over Rampage, Shogun, Tito, Franklin and others. :patsch

Maybe he would have been better if he was roided up eh? Or if he had the Yakuza guiding his career.

Oh no! An ex-champion and longtime top contender who is popular with the fans, who put the company on the map, who has an exciting style of fighting, who always gives his best effort, who will fight anybody and who is a chance to beat anybody, is a valued employee of the UFC and is welcome to fight on their cards! What a disgrace!

Yes, he is. He comes to the octagon in fighting shape. He's not a freak of nature, but he fights hard and does his best every minute of every round. He relies on working hard, paying attention, learning and putting the effort in, rather than natural ability. He always goes for the win rather than the paycheck. He gives respect to his opponents and to the fans. And he appeared on a UFC reality TV show, so let's **** all over his career regardless of what he does after that.

i think a lot of the disrespect comes from losing to jardine.

I think most of it comes from not only appearing on TUF, but winning it and then going on to become a legitimately good fighter.

he was the first tuf winner though, most of the guys on that show were actually tough guys that liked to fight and not rhinestone tapout shirt wearing wannabe ***gots like every season afterwards.

He's a Top 10 205er by virtue of barely decisioning Rampage and outlasting a gassed Rua three years ago. Since that time he barely decisioned a terrible unranked Ortiz, decisioned Franklin who wasn't ranked and is on the downslide, and he got levelled by Rashad and Anderson.

I'll give Forrest big credit for stepping up to Rampage and Rua because those were fights he shouldn't have won and while there are extenuating circumstances regarding his opponent in each, he did win them and there's a lot to be said for stepping up. So, while I do think he's a garbage fighter on the whole, the Latin phrase "fortes fortuna adiuvat" describes Forrest's high points to a tee.

And why, oh why, am I accused of being a troll when I merely give my unbiased and, yes, sometimes disrespectful critique of a fighter? I'm not here to honor them or show them respect or any **** like that, I'm here to discuss fights and fighters and if they're garbage you should all just say it. It's not like they're reading your words to know that you're shitting on them and a bum is a bum is a bum.

  11. I have huge respect for Forrest. Hard work, heart and good old school blood and guts. He has beaten some of the best disregarding the odds.

I think Forrest is in a strange place because he's as tough and durable as they come, yet when tagged on the button he suffers from Frank Mir syndrome, which leads him to getting the kod against him, normally with multiple strikes as opposed to a 1 punch ko ala Jardine, Evans and of course Anderson

A good fighter with some Very good win, but some bad losses. Comes to fight everytime. Like some else said, a Jack of all Trades, a master on none.

I know you don't want to say it or admit it but "Frank Mir Syndrome" is a Glass Jaw. It's irrefutable.

Nah that bandwagon is old news and a tired gimmick from the general forum, basically repetition of Zakman's formula by unoriginal wannabes

You know what happens to old news?
