Well, since you ask, it LITERALLY brands you as a fanboy of a corrupt and now-defunct organization. For some reason you allowed yourself to become SO INVESTED in the PRIDE organization that its failure has turned you into someone whose entire stance on the sport can be boiled down to "Pride = good, UFC = bad." In short, you are simply a hater.

Read my last two posts, and then your last two posts. Which of us sounds like they are on the rag? :-(

So whose opinion IS worthwhile?

Some internet hater who has never fought even a single amateur match, but who for some reason has a tattoo of a defunct organization that provided old tapes that he watches over and over? Is that a voice of real authority?

Whose opinion IS worthwhile? I have a few suggestions.

Let's ask Shogun Rua, Rampage Jackson, Chael Sonnen, Rich Franklin and Tito Ortiz about whether Forrest is a "bum", shall we? Something tells me that those guys have more respect for Forrest than you do. Part of it might stem from the fact that the "bum" beat all of those guys. :-(

Forrest clearly isn't a bum, a hardworking gatekeeper that somehow managed to become champion of a very strong division. Not sure which boxer I'd equate him to but it'd be someone better than Ruiz.

Got to admire the balls on the guy too, he'll take any fight.

 

He's not the most talented fighter ever, but:

* He always tries to get better,

* He always enters the octagon in top condition

* He will fight ANYONE

* He has tons of heart and guts

* He was the champion of a stacked division

* He has a very deep resume with a few bad losses, but a half-dozen very good wins as well, including some over MMA legends


But Dana White loves him and he was on TUF, so Scurla hates him and he's a bum who will get disrespected every time Scurla The Wise mentions him. :-(

Forrest is not a bum, not at all. He is a top 10 guy in a good division who has beaten great fighters.

 

I think majority of sensible posters acknowledge Forrest ain't no bum.

The only bum I know on these boards is the big shelia with a Pride tattoo What a ****'n loser atsch

 

Oh but the tattoo has special meaning for him, you understand. :bart Pride is in his blood, it has a special connection to his life. He watched a few of their cards on TV and really liked them, don't you see?

And now it's years later and the organization has folded and all its stars have come off roids and gotten their asses kicked in the UFC.

Imagine his grandkids asking him what his tattoo means. He'll have to tell them it was a mixed martial arts organization that existed for a total of 10 years, an organization that he was never involved with, promoting a sport that he never participated in. Awesome tattoo, Grandpa. :thumbsup

Forrest is tough but the wrong shot always has his body betraying him. I think he was too confident from the first fight where they had a war. He shouldn't have been engaging at all with a fresh Shogun early. I thought he'd immediately be striking and feinting for the takedown.

 

The next pom i see drowning at Bondi beach with a pride tat i'll be sure to ask my good mate - lifesaver Fed (better known as Fedor the flee) to save him instead :rofl.
