Was an entertaining fight, but everyone knows Rogan gets a little carried away from time to time Everyone (well almost) should realise this is at best hyperbole. Take statements like this as fight hype and with a large pinch of salt.
No one would know about it had you not bragged. Obviously you wouldn't have told anyone if you didn't think that ink you got was pretty ****ing snazzy, but guess what? It isn't. Your tattoo is a massive fail and you are, as well. Save that paint picture I made for you so that you can look at it and remind yourself that shitty tattoos do exist in the world. It's irrefutable!:rofl:nut
So all of you have officially ejaculated diseased semen all over this thread. This thread is very odd, because rarely in this forum do threads completely get killed by this crap like in the boxing general forum. Anyways. Forrest Griffin? I think his fight with Bonnar is the most overrated sporting event in sports history. To say that it molded MMA is an absolute joke. It polularized though, definitely. BUT, if I was the guys fighting over in Pride when that fight took place and got so much buzz, I would be ****ing pissed. Because it didn't display the MMA skills that make it a great sport, it just showed 2 feather fisted bar brawlers punch each other for 15 straight minutes. Lets be serious now, if any top elite fighter got that many chances to punch somebody in the face, with those small gloves on, the opponent would be in a coma. I think anyone that calls Forrest Griffin a "Bum" is a complete ****ing idiot. Or just very biased towards the guy. Like it or not, he did earn himself a championship belt. And he did it with back to back wins against Shogun and Rampage. Yes Shogun was hurt and not at his best, but who gives a ****! Forrest didn't land a "Matt Serra" on him, he hung in there with him, beat him up a bit on his feet and ground and then submitted him. It was a GREAT win. And his fight with Rampage was good as well to win the belt. Is he Elite? No. Not a chance. But he is somebody, like say Clay Guida, who is capable of hangining in there with the elite and even beating them sometimes.
Quoted for 100% truth. The ****tards who go around calling pro fighters bums need to be called out, as do the worthless chinchecker attention whores and blind fanboy/haters. Two out of three ain't bad.
Good post. Griffin vs. Bonnar is one of those fights that I'm happy about it's existence as long as I don't have to watch it. It gave "the people" what they wanted though and made the sport a lot more popular, though it's not really that interesting from an MMA point of view.
