    battered? mayorga caught him with a few good shots and vernon's chin couldn't stand up.

    in fact, forrest won every round until that defensive lapse. mayorga landed like one good shot until the last 20 seconds. forrest was beating the living crap out of him man, get real.

    He didn't look good after the Mayorga fight, because he had taken a beating in the first, and a demoralising decision loss in the second. MAny fighters are not the same after taking a bad loss, that is a fact. He didn't look good in the second Mosley fight, because Shane upped his game abit and was more aware of Forrest's style. Winky didn't look great in his second fight with Shane, but that doesn't mean he was shot does it?

    yes battered, that is what you call a stoppage of that nature. every round, you mean 2.

    forrest tried outslugging mayorga and paid a huge price. that price was battery.

    stop bein a nuthugger. forrest was in the form of his life and got beaten by a man who is undoubtedly the better man.

    sportsleader, i agree to an extent.

    forrest was not in the form of his life. i'm not a nuthugger. he was underappreciated when he was fighting and he still is.

    beating frank and mosley to become the clear number 1 WW is as good form as you could have asked for in that division.

    he aint underappreciated, he was the man for a short while, he just couldnt handle mayorga.

    name forrests best 5 victories.

    very similar to hearns vs barkley 2.

    on paper ones skill set was far superior. but in the ring one man was clearly the boss.
