you know what I think? Personally I am not intersted in a rematch, and honestly Vernon doesnt deserve a rematch even though its in the contract, it was Obvious that Vernon did not train at all for this fight, the man looked old, he looked fat, and he couldnt even bang after the third round **** he only fought an amateur fight saturday.
Anyhow he didnt look like himself and to me it was a simple case of not taking the opponent serious much the way Williams did against Quintana and it costed Forrest as it did Paul.
This was the worse Forrest I have seen and if he fights Mayorga again looking like that he will get knocked out again.

I doubt the rematch will take place. Mora claimed he was going to vacate the title regardless if he won or not.

If Forrest does exersise his rematch clause..
I belive Mora will vacate the strap and not take the fight.
(Or are Mora's hands tied because of Contract, regardless of belt?)

Mora has a good shot at fighting against Oscar.
As a fan of Forrest, I'd like to see him avenge or attempt to try and get at Mayorga..
at least one more time, that has always been the one huge stain on his record.

leave Mora alone, it has been proven that Young "Latin Snakes" eat Aged "Vipers"

Well to be honest, I don't think he looked allt hat bad. I mean Mora won the fight no doubt, but it was a lot closer than it looked. Mora's taunting and showmanship made it seem like he was doing a lot better than he really was. Forrest wasn't being dominated in the least, and Sergio neverhurt him. I'd take the rematch if I were him, Mora can be hit fairly easy.

Why would he vacate? Unless he's having hell trying to make 154. He could make alot of noise at 154 since the talent pool there is weak.

Forrest undertrained and was out of shape but even in a rematch Mora has the style that will give Forrest fits and I'd pick Mora to win.

I think he'll beat Mora this time. And he'll do it by fighting behind the jab.

TBH I'm sick of rematch clauses. It gives guys an excuse to suck in training camp and suck in the actual fight.

I agree with you about Forrest's performance on Sat...
Anything less than a destruction of Mora was going to be chopped up as being washed up or a decline, and it was/is..

Looking back at a Prime Forrest you can defo see how much the slide has been from his Mosley fight's to this Mora one.
That said, I'd still pick Vernon over Mora in a rematch....
It just suck's to see a champion with Vernon's skill's reduced to having to knock someone out for a win.

He fought a decent fight for sure, I wasn't pleased, but I wasn't really dissapointed.

What sucked was that I was sitting directly in from of Mora's best friend, who was not to keen on me cheering for Forrest, and was about 5 times larger than me... Needless to say I had to bite my tounge for pretty much the whole fight...

Forrest will probably fight for the vacant title if mora vacates, but i believe that he will be contractually obligated to face Forrest in a rematch

That's probably why he'll vacate. He had to hire a nutritionist to get down to 154. During the broadcast though, the announcers pointed out that Mora on vacating and going back to 160 regardless of the outcome of the Forrest fight.
