Depending on the wording of the contract though, he may be FORCED to face forrest again immediatley. or maybe if he gives up the title it will go straight back to Forrest, it depends on the contract.

Forrest is a stupid fighter. With the exception of his two Mosley fights he never uses his best assets. I think that he's physically capable of winning, but if he can't even bother to establish the jab then what good is he anymore?

He shoulda retired when Bazooka beat him and he got the gift decision. That was a pathetic but satisfying display when he got owned by the lightest hitting 154 pounder on the planet after talking **** lol.

I didn't see it as him being "owned" at all, it was fairly close throughout the whole fight.

Swollocks u idiot, mayorga was a good fighter then, forrest won the rematch, or at least should have been giving the decision. vernon forrest is a top 50 all time welterweight, no doubt maybe top 40

even if he is it ain't saying that much now is it.
he was running and fighting scared in that Mayorga rematch....got a few free shots and still deserved to drop the decision.

he matched up well with Mosley, he was never anything special. I still remember when he came out for that fight fight with Mayorga, fresh off 2 wins over Shane and with fat new HBO contract in hand. He came our rapping with a couple of goons...then got beat up and knocked out by a little known Nicaraguan. :happy

Forrest won 5 rounds if you give him every close round and he was stunned twice by a guy who has only 3 legitimate KOs.

One could also argue that Mayorga beat Spinks but was robbed by crooked officials.
