Sure, but come on man, sitting on the fence on whether Bumdomir is going to be competitive with an experienced, skilled fighter.

    You know better than that.

i could have never imagined Baldomir troubling Judah so i reserved judgement on Baldomir - Forrest because i haden't seen any recent Forrest fights.

That's fair, but you did have Quartey. Even though Forrest performed badly, and lost in my book, it was a competitive fight and Quartey even at this age is 5X the fighter Baldo is. I personally can't believe I had +125 odds on Forrest.:yep

Judah just can't handle a pressure fighter period, and that was a really bad version of Judah to top it off.

    Common sense ****.

No, it can't. Forrest is maxed out at 154 for effectiveness even though he's tall. Pavlik is absolutely huge, packs a LHW style punch and will just walk through Vernon.

That's a ridiculous fight to even contemplate. Pharoah's point about the Pavlik-Forrest fight is valid, using this thread as to see people's original thoughts on the current Forrest is valid also.

You're ****ing ridiculous if you think Forrest-Pavlik is anything more than an easy tune up for Pavlik.

To easily beat Berto? No, I said there was a chance of an upset, get your facts straight.

Berto has his coming soon. You have to understand, I really want him to lose badly so his idiot fanboy boosters get smacked in the face for hyping up someone that doesn't deserve massive hype, therefore I am going to root for the opponent no matter what.

That's 1 bad call, I've only picked a few wrong since July of last year. I, and any other knowledgable poster, have every right to say that Pavlik-Forrest is a ridiculous match up and that any fan that actually thinks Forrest can win is being ridiculous.

    It's not realistic.

Did you not see PacD predict Pacquiao over PBF by KO?

Did I see you type it? Yes....did I see you overreact to what I just said? Yes.

Considering the size of Pavlik, I don't think Forrest should fight him. I saw what happened to him when he couldn't gain the respect of a power puncher before. Pavlik would mow him down because he doesn't have the power to hurt him. I think Pavlik, who is big enough to fight at LHW, would simply be oversized.

i never said Baldo would make it competitive. What i did say is that it wasn't a worthy title fight to begin with, and that Baldo was only a rugged journeyman.

Actually, no I didn't overreact. I made a joke since this place is full of bad predictions. I was making light of the situation. I don't need to play a game of semantics when I can straight up say what I need to say and get my point across.

Mayorga didn't respect Forrest's power. He knew he hit hard sure. But not hard enough to stop him. He didn't keep coming forward against Trinidad. Trinidad went forward.....Forrest went backward against Mayorga.

Pavlik would simply cut the ring off on the smaller fighter and use his jab to get in. Pavlik uses his jab far to well coupled with his significant size advantage for Forrest to mount an offense. He would be on the defensive all night. (Quartey IMO beat Forrest BTW) And one big shot from Pavlik would end the fight. You are talking about putting Forrest in with a guy who is weight draining to get to MW. I don't care about his age or any of that money propaganda BS. We are talking about whether the fight is plausible in a "Can Forrest win the fight" context.

I'm not forgetting about Forrest's legs. We simply have a disagreement on the effectiveness of them.

Yes, Forrest was a big WW. But Pavlik is a big MW. I don't question his endurance at all, just his ability to take Pavlik's punches. He isn't a defensive wizard.

I thought Forrest won the 2nd Mayorga fight as well, but I wouldn't call it robbery. But even then, Mayorga doesn't jab or have Pavlik's size and reach advantage.
