Both fighters were completely out, as Tiger laid flat on the canvas unresponsive and Duran's reaction was similar to a man waking up after a deep coma. Both these knockouts were imposed upon smaller yet very durable and skilled fighters by taller men with a much longer reach and both possessing tremendous KO power.
The D1ck Tiger KO was just the worst. Tiger had no business and before the bell rang you knew he was done for. Tiger was 167lbs 5ft8 old and not a great puncher and with Bob he had to come forward into the meat grinder the size disparity was boy to man. Hearns vs Duran on the other hand people knew Roberto wasn't the same and could be a bit hot and cold but to lose so crushingly must have been a bit shocking.
Correct, no one is a god but in the sense of boxing Duran was close to it. Duranś fight with Hearns was a bit of a farce since we didnt see the best Duran in that fight by any means. The fight would have probably made more sense a few years earlier at welter.
