foxy is a true imbecile of the most gigantic porportions. This is one reason why none of your comments concerning boxing have any credibility. The other is anyone who knows the sport can tell immediately you know nothing of it.

Doubles would make it competitive early as Joe was a notoriously slow starter. However mid to late it's all Frazier. Joe would take his heart...then his head.

    Go away you subhuman filth.

And the word you are too stupid to spell is proportions not " porportions " you numb skull.

My 3 year old grandson has more intelligence in his faeces than you could ever dream of possessing. And more knowledge.

One of your posts even provoked the generally neutral McGrain to remark that it was preposterous and outlandish, even by your own moronic standards, such was the stupidity / falsehood of it.

That is all anyone really needs to know about your contributions to this board.

Therein lies the difference between you and I. You write pure lies and bullsh it, I on the other hand insult garbage like you, and don't give a fukk whether or not I get banned for doing so.

You both seemed very keen to point out spelling mistakes with people you have issues with . I seem to remember you always used to pull Mendoza up on his grammar . Foxy though seems to be selective with those he wants to argue with I notice in this thread he has stayed clear of taking issue with apollock.

I have read the first page of this thread, and the last couple of posts above, so, to put things back on track I will add my tuppence worth. I have always admired Joe Frazier for what he has done for the sport in general, and of course his outstanding performance in the FOTC. On this night, and this night only, Joe look like an ATG due to his terrific performance. Looking back, I would not put Joe down as an ATG, he was good, very good most of the time, but just not enough to be labelled as an ATG. The Douglas that beat Tyson is in the same boat here, he looked good beating Mike, but also lost a couple of bummers. As much as I like Joe above Buster, I have to give a UD in favour of Douglas. As we all know, styles make fights, and I just think that Joe would have dropped a decision here.

Just watched FOTC again, and Douglas v Tyson a bit after that.

I find it interesting how few times Ali went to the uppercut versus Frazier. He made use mainly of the left jab and slashing straight right, but barely made use of the uppercut at all.
Yet, on the few occasions he used it, it was an effective punch for him.
Maybe that was deliberate for fear of being countered by Joe's left hook, but that's speculation on my part.
Bottom line is that the uppercut was there for Ali but he very rarely used it.

Douglas used that punch a lot against Tyson. It was the punch that started the knockout series of punches, and the punch which he used consistently with good effect right throughout that fight.

It could be the key punch in a fight with Joe.

If you know how to fight the worst punch to throw against a left hooker is an uppercut. Leaves one unprotected for his opponents best weapon. Ali was knocked down in round 15 attempting such a blow in 71
