Let's not forget that George Foreman, despite being an Olympic Gold Medalist, despite sporting a 37-0 record with 34 KOs (the majority of which came inside of 4 rounds) conventional wisdom STILL placed him as 4-1 underdog against Joe Frazier even as Joe weighed in at his career heaviest.

Rubber stamping the same result discounts the possibility that Joe lost before he performed poorly against a man everyone assumed he would beat.

Not saying Frazier wins, but definitely suggesting that the fight will look very different from their first encounter.

    Agree.
Frazier in 69-71 would have been much sharper, focused and definitely quicker. A tougher proposition for Foreman.
With that said, while i could envision a tougher, rougher nite for Big George i dont see Frazier winning. He is still gonna Bob into one of those uppercuts square. Foreman was a fantastic finisher.
