You ain’t playing around bro...I am worn out from the first fight and you just mowed both of them down. I am hoping to get to it later tonight or tomorrow. I don’t think I have actually scored either of these fights before although I have watched them multiple times.

Ditto - looking forward to rewatching and actually attempting to score both of these immense slugfests!

Yeah yeah yeah. I watch Limon Chacon 2-4 every year on December 11. I had Chacon winning the single greatest fight I ever saw. I had Chacon also winning the Boza rematch which is ruined by Ferdies whining. IT IS A BLOOD SPORT FOLKS. Badmitten court is to the right.
The amazing part of the BOZA FIGHT WAS he so dominated and made Bobby quit then retire in 81. I remember all these fights even without watching like they were yesterday. The week after Boza-Chacon in 81 was Hamsho-Minter. Good times.

Boza vs Chacon, forgot how annoying and amateurish the commentary is...the score is 29-29 with 3 KD’s in 3 rds....I don’t see 3 points missing anywhere on there card.

I thought I heard that right before I muted the sound. What made Pacheco a boxing analyst anyway? It would be interesting to hear the explanation for how the fight was 29-29 after 3 rounds and 3 knockdowns...

We had 3? Rounds different and arrived at the same score. You did beat me by hitting mute after round 3, I didn’t do it till after 6. I thought this was one of the harder fights to score and think 4-11 could go either way without a gripe from me.

    Chacon vs Boza Edwards II
    1 Chacon 10-8
    2 Chacon 10-8 (Chacon 20-16)
    3 Boza 10-8 (Chacon 28-26)
    4 Boza (Chacon 37-36)
    5 Boza (46-46)
    6 Even (56-56)
    7 Boza (Boza 66-65)
    8 Chacon (75-75)
    9 Boza (Boza 85-84)
    10 Chacon (94-94)
    11 Boza (104-103)
    12 Chacon 10-8 (Chacon 113-112)

    Tough fight...not sure I see a 117-111 card....but oh well.

Pacheco single handedly ruined many a afternoon boxing match for me on what was NBC at the time. The man was a useless blowhard who knew nothing but wanted to be relevant.

Chacon-Boza 2 is probably the hardest fight to score I've ever seen.

    Watching Chacon vs Limon
Just doing a few rounds at a time so I can pay better attention

    1. Limon - Limon seems so lanky compared to Chacon, forgot how short BC was. Chacon seems to be the better boxer, Limon wider with his punches but seemed more effective to me.
    2. Chacon - BC took a bit of a pounding in the corner but slipped or blocked a lot too. I love those long looping hooks of RL. He really wings them with maximum bad intent.
In the 2nd half of the round BC came on strong with a number of good shots starting with a right to get him out of the corner. This was a great round I thought RL threw some great looking bombs but didn’t land as well as BC who finished it very strong.
    3. Slower round. BC trying to close distance always on rangy RL. Limon looks to be the stronger fighter to me at this point. BC down from another looping shot but doesn’t seem hurt at all, and RL doesn’t jump on him as he can see this. RL more effective so I give him the round and the knockdown makes it 10-8

    After 3 I have it 29-27 RL

    Next 3 tonight.

Boza dominated the first round and the knockdown looked like a slip except to Richard Steele so 10-9 Chacon

Boza dominated the second round except for the knockdown so 10-9 Chacon

Boza dominated the third round plus a knockdown so 10-8 Boza.

    I had it 28-28 after 3 rounds.

Yeah, I don't know how they came up with 29-29.

That’s fair enough....I did score them both 10-8 rounds, but 10-9 is not unfair. It was comparable to me of rd 3 in Chacon vs Limon in the 3rd rd where I thought slight chacon-Even round, then the kd happened and I went 10-8 for Limon.

    R4 Boza 10-9

Chacon fights off ropes, but Boza more effective.

    R5 Boza 10-9

Chacon fights off ropes. Boza has superior defense on the inside. Blocks a lot. They are both throwing a lot.

Chacon is starting to bleed heavily

    R6 Boza 10-9

Chacon badly bleeding. Boza pummels him on the inside. Chacon countering with rights off the ropes but missing. Charon returns to corner with face a body mask. Doctor visits corner. Could have stopped it there as Chacon has been bleeding for two rounds and Boza haswon the last four rounds and dominated since round 1 except for the knockdowns rounds in 1 and 2

    R7 Boza 10-9

Steele calls time out during the round to have Chacons cuts examined. Homansky could have stopped it there. Action resumes and Boza eats Charon up on the inside. Boza dominates after action resumed. Chacon throws in desperation as probably fears they will stop the fight on cuts. Homansky again checks Chacons face between the 7th and 8th rounds.

I have it for Boza 68-64 after 7 rounds
