    Pacquiao's Overall Ability...

he is just the better fighter
he would crash hatton's resistance in 6 rounds

Agree 100%. Ricky had success rushing, crowding, and cornering FMJ. If he can do the same thing to a smaller fighter like PAC it could spell doom. But, I expect that PAC is quicker (than Floyd) of foot (with his relatively huge calves) and Ricky will find it very difficult to trap him. Ricky is gonna be rushing forward but rarely finding PAC there to maul. And, PAC's left is very quick, very accurate, and is gonna find the mark very easily. But, Ricky is the bigger man and it is gonna take a lot of punches to dissuade him. Still, I'm taking PAC by TKO inside of 9. Gonna be some fight either way.

agree with dinamita...PBF already laid down hatton's weakness and i expect pac to do more of a back and forth style rather than left right...ofcourse, he would be working on the angles but he would target the hatton's body

it'll be too one sided to be considered FOTY

Some really good posts so far from both sides. This really is a feel-good fight.

I disagree. I think you are underrating Ricky a bit. He is a brilliant light-welterweight, don't let your judgment be clouded by the Collazo and Mayweather performances which were at 147.

nah, i wouldn't call him a brilliant anything to be honest, and not even by looking at those WW fights....based solely off of his last fight (since people think he showed improvements) if that Ricky shows up, he will get embarrassed

he's a VERY good fighter, but he's just not a great fighter, and that's what it boils down too, specially when you cope that with the level of fighter Pac is, and how fast he is, with how easy to hit Ricky is........this will be 1-sided, but the time for talk is over, we'll find out tonight

i'll give Ricky alot of credit and say i underrated him if he gets 2 rounds in the bank, much less manages to actually beat him......though the ref will play a big part in this as well

Ricky is brilliant at what he does, that's all. he is not brilliant boxer, he is barely a good in anything than ugly brawling, hardly skilled boxer.

I think the most decisive factor will far and away be Pacquiao's movement. There's no doubt in my mind that despite Pacquiao's P4P power, at Light Welter Hatton is the significantly stronger fighter, and naturally, rather than synthetically, so. Pacquiao has a bit of a history of getting floored by body punches, and that was to guys several divisions below. Add to that the fact that Hatton is a devastating body puncher who managed to gas fighter after fighter with body blows, and you have the potential for Pacquiao to get his ribs crushed if Hatton sinks his teeth into them. Conclusion: Pacquiao's going to have to prevent Hatton from getting anywhere near him. He'll have to move from side to side, pop in and out, never allow Hatton to plant his feet and shoot at a still target, and - most of all - stay off the ropes. He did it effectively against DLH, but whether he can do it against a more ferocious, more aggressive, more hungry, more energetic and non-weight-drained boxer is going to be the tipping point.

I think Manny will be able to do it, but even a momentary lapse could spell disaster. Whatever happens, his movement is going to be decisive.
