Uh, idk about headbutting, but seeing Pac throw Horn to the ground was great. It's like he finally woke up. That was right before he dominated the 9th. Then his age started showing.

Holyfield was dirtier, even in his infamous fights with Tyson.

we prepare for those tactics in the gym.
there are no fights where some of that does not occur.
    ward won kov lost
    horn won pac lost
    you still have gg.
    pray he doesn't lose.
can you imagine these guys then?

I hear you about the the ambiguity of these fouls sometimes but a line has to be drawn at a certain point or you get a freakshow with each man trying to maim their opponent with damaging, illegal blows. Elbows can easily end fights on cuts, rabbit punches cause far more severe damage than a regularly located punch, low blows of course we don't need to get into that. Strict rules against egregious fouling need to be upheld in order to separate the sport from wild streetfighting.

I agree, which is why it's important we make a distinction between Ward-Kovalev and Golotta-Bowe.

Yeah it is , especially if a bigger guy is using his size and the other guy is too physically small to do anything about it.
Its excessive clinching anyway which is against the rules. Its both dirty and illegal.

Yeah I wouldn't compare those two fights. Golota threw combos off Bowe's nutsack, Ward mostly landed beltline shots. My only real issue was the very last punch that got Weeks to stop the fight.

So the bigger guy should win? So you should just get punched in the face instead of instinctively tying somebody up? Go watch fencing or something, dork.

So do you not even know what the ear bite was in response to? Have you seen the fight?

Hell, they forgot about Maidana. Maidana fought a hell of a fight with Floyd they said. Floyd complained too much. Floyd's fans complained too much. Now it's Kov's fans who complained too much. Horn fought dirty because the ref let him. You can't hold guys down and use head and arm locks to clinch fighters. Porter does the same thing. You either foul back or let it happen. Fans complaints fall on deaf ears with me.

    that was good, too.

but he definitely started putting the headbutt right back. what, did you think he would complain to the ref about it? he didn't, even with those nasty cuts.

Clinching an integral part of boxing, almost every single boxing match that doesn't end on the first exchange has some. What's deemed excessive or not excessive is solely dependant on the ref's judgement. It can't be compared on the same level to low blows or headbutts which there is no tolerable limit for.
