The double talk that comes out of the Mayweather camp is nothing new.

Floyd wins fights, man. Point, blank, period. When he losses come get at me. Until than, all this nonsense is HATERADE!

  3. Sorry, just wanted to point out again how you're wrong. He said Floyd doesn't shoot 'anything' into his hands. I'm pretty sure 'anything' encompasses both xylocaine and novacaine.

Nazzim: "I come from the hood, and the only "caine" I wanna hear is Big Daddy Kane. Because we keep talking about guys using this and all natural. If you take a needle in your hand it's not all natural.

Leonard: "Naazim this is Leonard. I can clear that up right now. Just for the record, Floyd Mayweather doesn't shoot anything in his hands. That's for the record."

This **** is no different if Dwight Freeney or any other NFL player has a bad ankle and takes a shot of something before the game. You could say he was cheating to because he wouldn't be able to have the explosiveness in his ankle without the shot and helping him get to the QB and make plays. This is really reaching and I guess anyone who has played a sport injured and got a shot of something to cope with the pain should be called a cheat as well?:-( I guess Favre and Freeney are cheats? They should be banned from the NFL.:patsch

"doesn't" -- that's what 8 pages of bull**** have been in aid of? "Doesn't"?

    So: to summarize ...

1.) Ellerbe says that Floyd "doesn't" shoot a substance into his hands.
2.) Someone finds footage from nine years ago where he said he did shoot that substance (or one closely related to it) into his hands.
3.) The use of that substance is legal in all states and in all boxing commissions, except that recently some commissions have added stipulations that it shouldn't be used on fight night.
4.) "Doesn't", being short for "does not", is present-tense and probably "doesn't" apply to things done a decade ago.
5.) This somehow exonerates Pac from ducking some tests.

Is that where we're up to?

If they are shooting it up in their FISTS and punching people in the face then YEAH!

  7. I agree. So why did Ellerbe deny it? If there's nothing wrong with it, he should have just said so. Instead he lied about it. Weird.

Nah, he mentions xylocaine which has been widely reported as to why Floyd refused to fight in Texas because it's illegal there, and as far as I understand illegal everywhere other than Vegas.

But, in my opinion if it's not illegal in Vegas Floyd has not done anything wrong.

  9. Probably -- that's what this bull**** summary is in aid of? "Probably"?

    So: to summarize...

1.) You say it 'probably' doesn't relate to injecting in the past, and somehow that's concrete proof for you.

2.) You feel like you have to mention Pacquiao even though this thread has ZERO to do with him.

Is that what we're up to?

My bad on the above post, you are right. I guess I figured he was talking about xylocaine because that's what the controversy has been about.

If I say "2manyusernames doesn't like the hard black ****" does that mean that 2manyusernames has never liked the hard black ****? Or does it mean that he might have liked the hard black **** ten years ago, but does not, at present, like it?

  12. I just checked and it was neither novacaine nor xylocaine - it was lidocaine (sp?) that he mentioned.

I agree - if it's not illegal then there's nothing wrong with it. Floyd hasn't done anything wrong. He's just playing by the rules.

It's Ellerbe that told a pork pie, and it's him that's under the spotlight. He should have just said there's nothing wrong with it. Instead he fibbed. Stupid.

  13. Great question.

Either way you'd be lying - I've always loved hard black ****!! Especially when it's Floyd's. Only his his spunk tastes like novacaine and it numbs my mouth.

Other than that, you make a good point.

I agree, if he is taking it why lie? He hasn't done anything wrong. Maybe it was all the "cleaning up the sport" stuff but he's injecting a numbing agent in his hands, who knows.

BTW-if you google xylocaine, it is Lidocaine.
