The issue is that they won't even entertain the idea that the guy ducking other fighters is obvious and has been for a decade. They make out like he's unbeatable and that there is or hasn't been anyone to challenge them when there is and has been...

And it's very amusing that it's always the weakest link getting chosen and never a seemingly complete fighter, even though some have been around. It's also never a difficult style, except in the case of Cotto, but he was a bit of a surprise on how much he came in to win.

Now do we give Mayweather credit for that performance over a game Cotto? Of course we do, he showed a variety of skills, grit and ring IQ to defeat the first decent opponent in years.

The Canelo thing was a glorified sparring session where the opponent showed zero urgency to get what would be the biggest W in boxing. That just doesn't make any sense on any logical level. Of course we can go by the reasoning that Floyd is just too good...

But Guerrero, Ortiz and Cotto all did better than Canelo, who was promptly shutout and didn't have Floyd even uncomfortable for even a moment in the right. Even Guerrero at least had him backing up and cornered, even if all he was doing was eating counter shots and landing nothing of note. Canelo was ridiculously docile.

So that's either one of two things - A fix, or a joke of a hype job. I'll go with the latter, but the former would not surprise me from this businessman first and fighter second.

people would just downgrade pac's win over dela hoya.

pac climbed 3 weight classes in 2 fights, for a fight in his 7th division, and dominated. who has done this in history?

when the fight was signed no one thought pac would win, except roach and pac.

roach got in dela hoyas head "cant pull the trigger anymore".

dela hoya lose weight months before the fight to train specifically for speed.

angelo dundee said dela hoya was fine in the gymn.

pac killed dela hoya and made him looked like a zombie.

it was a beautiful combo of speed, power and southpaw stance.

you put malignaggi in there and dela hoya would decision him.

    TKO9.

he isnt even a good businessman.

a good businessman is de la hoya, who would fight anyone that will bring the money to promotional company.

if floyd is a good businessman, he would have rematched dela hoya instead of fighting hatton.

imagine how many buys for the rematch and he could ask for a bigger share.

    and of course, pac.

think about it: floyd-dela hoya 2.4m buys. rematch ~3m buys. pac-floyd ~3m buys, rematch etc.

you can say he left 150-200m on the table avoiding the fight.

he is too inlove with his 0, like his whole life depended on it.

he would rather lose the money if it means to keep the zero.

This is why Floyd is beloved by the boxing community. It's posts like this that draws more and more fans to him.

Agreed, Love him or hate they all pay him:deal.

Gotta love it, there is always someone he should have or could have fought and when he fights a Canelo or SSM (who just destroyed the boogieman), or Oscar its because the suck. Then Pac fights them and its an unbelievable feat. I am not saying Pac has not accomplished great things but you cannot have it both ways

Pac is also a beloved fighter also. The deep rooted problem is Floyd and Arum. People do not know the depth of their feud. They think that this fight should just get made and that's it. A lot of factors have to be considered in making I totally blame Arum more than I do Floyd and Pac.
