if that is true what's point of asking drug test then? pac is still with arum. what is the point if they can agree to the drug test if floyd and arum wont do business with each other?

example: you can accuse roy of chrry picking at some point in his carreer. but you cant say, if he steps in competition he will get exposed, because he actually stepped up.

that's how you measure greatness, against another great.

record is overrated.

floyd doesnt have this, so we dont know how great he really is. so his level of greatness is beating a bunch of good boxers. good but not great.

coupled with his history of ducking risky/tough fights, then you start thinking, is beating corrales your recipe to greatness? then he was outboxed by castillo.

i dont really think floyd is that great. he has longetivity beating good and not so good. thats it.

he is the type of actor that will not win an oscar but will get the lifetime achievement award as consolation.

Mayweather fighting DLH instead of Margarito catapulted him to superstardom. Mayweather was making peanuts up until the DLH fight and in fact made large concessions to make the DLH fight happen. It all paid off, he's the #1 PPV attraction and highest paid athlete in the world. A very astute business move.

Margarito is a brick layer in Tijuana. Rumour has it Margarito brings his own materials to the job.

 

If you refuse/don't fight the best fighters available constantly throughout your career in your own generation then it's impossible to give a proper evaluation of your boxing skills as they have not been tested against the best competition available in your era. Therefore your resume is weaker and you get overrated on a HOF & ATG level when you simply don't have the resume to back it up. Boxing is not a sport that includes "would have beaten" either as every fight is won/lost in the ring and not on paper.
