Haye sidestepped Vitali and went on to sign a fight with WBA titlist Valuev. This is the best thing he could've done inmy opinion.

    1. We won't see the same old recycled contenders challenging for the WBA strap.

    2. Haye ends his inactivity and fights an easy opponent who he'll beat convincingly.

    3. When he fights either Klitschko, the division will be unified and have only two champions. If Haye beats either Klitschko, then we get an Undisputed champion in the near future.

    4. There will be more money to be made on both sides for Klitschko's and Haye and more will be at stake. It will be another HW Unification match.

This is the best thing Haye could've done and this really helps the division long-term.

Why? He was inactive and didn't want to jump into a tough fight with Vitali. He's going to Unify them anyway, it's a smart business move.

Glad to see him fight somebody. With Valuev, he couldn't go wrong. He can't lose.

    1. Vitali's left fist

    2. Vitali's right fist

    3. Vitali's never been knocked down

    4. Vitali's never been behind on the scorecards at the end of any of his fights

I'm far from a Haye nuthugger but this is the smartest move from Haye. People got caught up in the hype cause Haye talks alot, but look beyond that and you'll see that for Haye to take on Vitali at this point in his career is dumb.

Bravely bold Sir David rode forth from England.
He was not afraid to fall,
    O brave Sir David.
He was not at all afraid to be KO'd in nasty ways,
Brave, brave, brave, brave Sir David!

He was not in the least bit scared to be mashed into a pulp,
Or to have his eyes gouged out and his elbows broken,
To have his kneecaps split and his body burned away
And his limbs all hacked and mangled, brave Sir David!

His head smashed in and his heart cut out
And his liver removed and his bowels unplugged
And his nostrils raped and his bottom burned off
    And his pen--
David: That's... that's... er... enough music for now lads. Looks like there's dirty work afoot

The WBA belt is irrelevant and doesn't provide him with a bargaining chip. The fact is that belt rightfully belonged to the guy who WALD just dismantled, who beat Valuev for it fair and square and had it taken away due to boxing politics.

Beating Valuev doesn't prove anything. Valuev is awful, and is viewed as a fraud by almost everyone. This fight is nothing but a waste of time for everyone except for HAEY who gets a fat paycheck against a terrible opponent

Maybe he should change his nickname to the "The Moneymaker."

    WTF is this? :nut
It was the right move because it tells the Bitchko sisters that they are not the be all and all in the HW devision. this fight will prove this by generating more interest and being more exciting than either of the sis's next fights.
and when Haye KO valeuv and is still calling out the sisters we will se who is affraid :deal

I don't object to this move by Haye - plenty of fighters work the same way (Khan, for example). But he does look like an ass with all his posturing, only to run away.

"I'm different from everyone else, I want to fight the best." Nah, he's just like everyone else... take the easiest route to reasonable paydays. No shame in that, only shame in denying it with his childish antics.

BTW, very fine "Brave Sir David" ditty above. Kudos. "Buggering off and running away..."
