Round 1: Dirrell stands tall, working behind the jab, while Mouton ducks low and looks to come up with the hook. Mouton lands a nice hard hook to the head, and plants his head on his foe's chest, and fires at the the flanks. This compels his foe to get active and firDes a nice right hand and a HARD uppercut and a nice one two! Decent exchange btx these two with Dirrell landing better. Good stuff.

10-9 Dirrell

 

Round 2: More of same, with Dirrell more than willing to stand shoulder to shoulder with his foe in order to rip him with uppercuts and hooks. Mouton wings hooks and hooks...and more hooks...but they don't land with the same snap. Good fight, though.

20-18 Dirrell

 

Round 3: Missed a bit of this round due to technical difficulties, but from what it saw it looked very similar to the other two in terms of dynamic. Mouton having moment, but getting out-punched in the trenches by his taller foe.

30-27

 

Round 4: Dirrell makes a concerted effort to box and jab at the start of the round, and lands a couple of one twos, before Mouton closes, and starts landing hooks before his arms start churning into his foe's flanks. Sensing the round is starting to get away from him as Mouton clocks him with another hook, Dirrell stands his ground and fires away with a stiff body shot, and a right hand that drives his foe back. Mouton presses forward and the two exchange again at the bell.

40-36, but a closer round.

 

Round 5: Mouton continues to press and raises his activity level as he keeps his foe pinned against the ropes. Dirrell connects with a right hand that momentarily wobbles Mouton at the bell, but I'm not sure if it's enough for me to give him the round out-right. :think

10-10 round

50-46 Dirrell

 

Round 6: Pretty good round for Dirrell, who connects with a NICE uppercut, and then picks his battles for the rest of the round; boxing and jabbing and then throwing down in the trenches and lacing his foes on the inside with one twos. Good hook from Mouton near the end, but Dirrell fires back with one of his own.

60-55

 

Round 7: Mouton rumbles forward and launches hooks and rights, while Dirrell waits and tries to set traps to land shots of his own. Moutons walks through and drives his foe back, carrying the round on my card even if he can't land anything really, really huge.

69-65 Dirrell

 

Round 8: Much the same as the last round, though this time, Dirrell stands his ground and fires away with both hands, landing a bit more in the stanza. Mouton lands some nice hooks, but activity trumps aggression in this case.

That was fun. Mouton's not an easy out, but Dirrell did a decent job of dealing with the pressure, even as he began to tire.
