They have saturated people as best as they can with the promotion of this fight.

Its on PPV and neither fighter has the name power to carry a PPV.
I doubt seriously is does even 100k buys.

They sure have done a good job. Previews during college football non-stop.

Most everyone in my office is aware of this fight. That doesn't happen often outside Clenelo , Pacquiao and Loma (because ESPN does an equally good job promoting those fights)

This is an excellent "TV" fight. Would've been great on primetime tv.

This is not a PPV worthy fight. They have marketed it to the best of their ability, I'll give them that.

What good does it do to market fighters the casual fan hasn't heard of?

Neither Spence or Porter have fought any PPV worthy recognizeable names. You at least start there before putting fighters to headline PPV's.

Spence/Garcia drew pretty well overall, so I assume that’s their starting point.

I doubt this will do less. Would be odd.
Seems like the Garcia fight had a lot stronger promotion, but Porter is a known commodity and Spence has his foot in the PPV market now.
Should do well over 300k. Which at their asking price would be a definite success.

the only intrigue to this fight is if Spence can KO Porter. he's never been stopped.

Porter will be the best opponent on Spence’s resume. Brook was damaged and drained

Would'nt you think the buys for the Spence-Garcia fight would be mostly due to Garcia. Latino's carry a good chunk of the ppv buys.

He has been around for a while now and been involved in big fights.
Over 3mil tuned in for the Thurman-Porter fight. His most recent fight with Ugas peaked at 2.1mil.
And Porter has fought the likes of Paulie Malignaggi, Kell Brook, Devon Alexander and Danny Garcia.
People have seen him fight and they know who he is.

Heck, going by the numbers; Porter has had more exposure than Spence. Spence had just turned pro when Porter upset Devon.
