The undercard was already lousy but has actually gotten worse.


Ronny Rios was originally supposed to be in the co-feature versus Jesus Navarro, 1-5 in his last six including two KO1 losses (http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=364033&cat=boxer)

Now on extremely late notice (less than 48 hours) Navarro is out and replaced with Sergio Frias. Downgrade. :!: Navarro at least has some pop, is a southpaw, and has some decent wins at domestic level. Frias is exactly the kind of guy 2/3 of Navarro's record is padded with.

 

This is a replay of some 2013 UFC main event. :yep

 

I almost hope they don't air Rios vs. Frias, that's going to be a slaughter.

Kavanagh vs. Zamudio and Lopez vs. Martinez both have a vague chance of being competitive. (due to Kavanagh's habit of fighting down to his level of competition; and Martinez is a super-journeyman)

...but Kavanagh isn't a puncher the caliber of Fortuna (who isn't all that hot a prospect IMO, but he can whack) - in fact, I'm not even sure he's a different caliber than Will Tomlinson, against whom Zamudio very nearly lasted the distance recently. :think
