Kamegai is getting caught waltzing in by jabs and quick rights on the jawline. Kamegai just continues to beeline into punches as Gomez zips around him, doubling jabs and dropping in the cross on the eye socket, then jumping in and tying up. Gomez is crisscrossing by the ropes, faking left and darting right, throwing 1-2s at the face. Kamegai is pressing in and manages to stuff a left uppercut on the hip, partially caught on the back of Gomez's right wrist.

Kamegai is bowling in left hooks on the body and looking to lay the right down on Gomez but finding the counter right of Gomez slotted into his face instead, turning his face involuntarily. Kamegai just keeps marching forward, working uppercuts into the midsection of Gomez and then chopping down on him on the inside. Gomez shrimps up, head withdrawn between his shoulders like a turtle, coming up and countering, then holding. Caiz breaking up the clinches. Kamegai is overreaching with the right hand, countered with a jab as Gomez steps to his right. Clinch by Gomez. Kamegai is walking into Gomez and working short rowboat oars to the body.
