    Round 3

Kavanagh is blasting Zamudio with jabs and 1-2s as Zamudio is leaning over to one side, raising his shoulder to eclipse his face and pumping in straight leads. Kavanagh is faster and more on the mark in his arm, but is getting cut up nonetheless from a cut that originally appeared in the 2nd (Malignaggi & Beto Duran surmising it was from a headbutt and not a punch). Counter left hook by Kavanagh while stepping back, letting Zamudio walk onto it with both hands in the cookie jar.

    10-9 Kavanagh

    28-28

    Round 4

Kavanagh is scoring flush rights and jogging backward, then circling wide to his left. Zamudio is leading with left & right uppercuts on the body walking in. Kavanagh is circling left, arms down, sticking hard jabs into the face and snapping Zamudio's head back. Kavanagh is scratching at Zamudio's belly with the left hook and then casting a fishing-line right as he steps back. Zamudio is swinging wildly, very slow, both arms just sailing through the air as Kavanagh ducks and counters with a body combo. Kavanagh hops outside and throws a lead right. Zamudio slips it, missing his own 1-2 as Kavanagh's fist whizzes past his neck. Kavanagh pushes Zamudio onto the ropes shoeshining the body.

    10-9 Kavanagh

    38-37 Kavanagh

True, but this one feels like it's not developing well even for lower skilled guys...feels like they'll get tired before they ever really get anything going.

I'm hoping for the best with Gomez and Kamegai. It all depends on whether Gomez will brawl or box, I'm hoping the former.:hey

Flush right hand by Zamudio! Coming in like a boss, ignoring Kavanagh's jab and landing. Kavanagh is backing up winging hooks up high and missing. Zamudio is spanking Kavanagh with long pinball flippers. Kavanagh is backed out of the pocket as Zamudio chops down with a right hand looming above him. Kavanagh is scooting back and countering with flurries, hitting the glove. Body combo by Kavanagh scoring. Zamudio is walking Kavanagh down, using body-fakes. Kavanagh bounces around tossing light punches into the air, pulling them and changing direction. 1-2 by Kavanagh. Zamudio is backed up by a left hook. 10-9 Zamudio

The commentators (Duran, Malignaggi & Jessica Rosales) were just shooting the **** the first 2 minutes of the 5th and missed a ton of work Zamudio put in, then observe Kavanagh throwing some flurries (mostly blocked or missing) and remark that it was a great round for him. :patsch
