    If you're looking for the glitz and glamour outside of the ring then the fight hasn't stolen your attention. If your steak is good enough you could be anywhere and still enjoy it. The overall experience makes the event better but has no bearing on the fight IMO.

    It's one of the reasons why my fave fights of recent times haven't been on ESPN or HBO. Fights like Hernandez Vs Porpramook I, Estrada Vs Gonzalez, Eto Vs Porpramook, Thompson Vs Miura. None were shown on mainstream US/UK TV but they were better fights than many that were on those "more significant" stages.

    The best movies aren't the most significant and the best albums aren't the biggest selling so I'm never sure why the "best fights" tend to only be the ones on a higher profile than others.

    Round 3: Vasquez continues to control, until Stevenson lands a BIG right hand that drives his foe into the ropes. Vasquez catches James coming in with a big left hand that wobbles Stevenson! A couple of body shots hurt Stevenson and prompt another Boogaloo dance. Uppercut and chopping right from James, but he gets popped with a couple of left hands near the end of the round.

    Round 4: Stevenson strikes me as being better than advertised, pressing behind the jab and firing rights with some speed and meaning. But Vasquez defends well and throws some sharp combos that are far more accurate than Stevenson's blows.

    This has just been a fantastic fight card from top to bottom. Two great fights and a brutal 30 second KO. Holy **** this has been fantastic!

    The glitz and glamour is for the fight, it would not exist if it were not for the significance of the fight. They are inseparable, it is experienced the entire duration of watching the fight whether any "glitz or glamour" is actually seen or not. If you can't feel the electricity of big fights then I feel for you.

    Round 5: Vasquez controls most of the round and starts to press for the finish, only to eat a HUGE right hand that has his walking sideways and badly hurt!

    10-9 Vasquez, who controls most of the round before getting clocked.

    Round 6: Stevenson presses for the finish, but runs into a huge left hand by Vasquez, followed by an extended volley of punches that sends Stevenson staggering across the ring! Uppercuts and body punches from Vasquez! Stevenson fires back and manages to drive Vasquez back to the ropes at the end of the round!

    10-9 Vasquez

    Round 7: Vasquez continues to stalk his foe, working off the jab, ripping hooks down stairs and uppercuts to the head. Stevenson looks wobbly, but then lands a BIG right hand! Vasquez knocked off axis! Stevenson lands a nice uppercut! Vasquez fires back and lands another left uppecut as the round ends!
