Gonzalez keeps jabbing into González's guard and walking him around the ring. High left hook lead from the hip and wide roaming looped right by González, easily picked off as Gonzalez steps back. Jab on the chest by Gonzalez.

González is squeezing his forearms together vertical against his face and flopping in against Gonzalez, whipping the body up close or hurling 1-2s into his face at point blank. Gonzalez steps back smoothly and turns González, countering. Right hand lead straight down the pipe by Gonzalez, putting in a left hook to cut off the southpaw's instinctive dash aside to escape the R, building into a nice combination. Gonzalez walks González around the ring, high-blocking his backfoot power flurries. Gonzalez starts to peck at González with 1-2s on the ropes and works the body. Liver shot by Gonzalez and González is down on his knee. He takes most of a count even though only moments remain on the round clock. Waved off.
