Arnett made a few strategic mistakes and was too content to coast and let Gomez lead at times (I suspect questions about his ring IQ and killer instinct will plague him throughout his career, based on not only tonight but all my times seeing him) but one thing is for sure, kid is tough. He showed a hell of a chin standing up to some of Gomez's stiff punches, especially the flush right hands.

Remember it took a body shot to put him down. (and really, an accumulation of them)

I really liked his shoulder rolling in the round after the knockdown he was rolling and shooting the right down the middle

I see some potential he even looked for the left hook while Gomez was mid attack and could have scored big

he waited too much and let the fight turn into lulls and spurts for Gomez to take advantage...Arnett should have jabbed more and moved more and just could and should have done more to set up his offense

key was Arnett waited for his opportunities and Gomez took them

Didnt think he was gonna make it outta the round where he was down

Ortiz thinks a new camp, team, manager is going to change thing. Only problem is it is still the same nut case Ortiz.

Everyone from Brooklyn talks alike.

Zab Judah, Mike Tyson, Luis Collazo, everyone...to a man have a certain je ne sais quoi.

I used to have a coworker (Puerto Rican and black mixed) whose childhood was spent in BK, had been in Boston for years, and whenever I watch and listen to either Collazo or Tyson it's like a ghost from the past.

    Mannerisms, inflections, everything.

Malignaggi sounds a little too "Guido" for it not to override that. :yep He sounds more like he's from Jersey.

Ortiz, meanwhile, epitomes every phony LA pansy I ever met.
