Lets face it, Ortiz gave us something to talk about again and now we have Gollazo in big fights mix.

"They say I can't punch, well... :conf I can hook, and if you hook with a hooker, that's dangerous. I knew he always throws hooks long, so mine just had to be short inside his..."

    - Collazo

Then he called out Mayweather. :yep

He is crying happy tears, and feeling very spiritual tonight, feeling his prayers were answered to finally get his due.

At least the ending was legit, kinda lol I had a feeling it would end quick with Ortiz being at fault, he coulda made it out the round there was 1 second and he survived that round with Berto

Oh well thats Ortiz for you gotta love him lol

To be fair to Collazo, that was a pretty huge hook. Also to be fair to Luis, he looked like he was starting to time his foe pretty regularly anyway. It looked like he was going to break down Ortiz sooner or later, based on what I was watching.

His career was on the line against a not so big puncher. Whatever, I lost a little money, he quit on his career.

He wasn't aiming for the back of the head; that's what Ortiz gave him cowering down and spinning like that.

Technically, it leaves room for Ortiz with his tenuous hold on reality to grasp at straws and say he was finished off by the rabbit punches (light looping left and right hook) as he was going to his knee while Collazo chased him...so in his own mind he can probably rationalize still being undefeated.

Really though, it was that first counter right hook that sapped Ortiz of all his starch and from the moment it landed he was going to quit. Also, he invited those shots by luring Collazo in, taking forever to simply drop to a knee. He started to kneel while turning away, then bounced up to keep his knee off the canvas, faced Collazo again for a half second and then began to drop and turn again. Maybe he was trolling for a DQ in a last stab at victory, but when the ref didn't go for the bait he got out while the getting was good.

I just rewound and watched it again.

There were 7 seconds left in the round when the right hook connected, and three seconds left when Ortiz's knees finally hit the canvas.

He literally could have waited until the count of nine, plopped on his stool and had a full minute to clear the cobwebs. Instead he did a half a pushup, hesitated, and stayed on all fours shaking no at the ref.

Also, the commentary of Paulie Malignaggi was spot on. He said the reason this happened to Ortiz was:

    1. He was off balance throwing his wide left hand.
    2. He tried loading up another right hook immediately after missing the left without resetting his position.
    3. He was much too anxious.
