Tamayo jabs and dives in with his forearms raised over his face. Nice quick right hand by Russell.

Russell is circling to his left and staying off Tamayo's lunging right jab, countering with quick 1-2s and straight combos of up to five punches. Russell tracks right and sticks a double southpaw jab in Tamayo's face at long range.

Yeah, and even if they hadn't it has been obvious something is wrong. He is showing maybe a quarter of his usual speed, even in combos. (although that still makes them pretty fast compared to most other boxers) He also seemed to be lacking some confidence early on but is warming up to his task as it becomes apparent Tamayo while game has nothing to bother him.
