Tamayo rolls as best he can but still can't avoid that jab, leading with overhand lefts and falling short as Russell falls backward and turns. Tamayo finishes with a right hook, ducked and bypassed as Russell repositions on the other side of him. Hard lefts bowled in downstairs by Russell. Tamayo shimmies at mid-range, turning his hips, looking for an angle to attack as Russell squats while wriggling his head.

Russell lands a right jab to the body. Tamayo winds up a decapitating right hook but Russell catches it on the back of his left glove and lands his own right hook. Tamayo is loading up on wide punches and Russell is countering with much faster right hooks, planting them flush on the jaw. Skewering left on the sternum, right hook on the jaw. Tamayo is badly wobbled, arms up, legs quivering! Doing a Khan dance! Russell takes incisive steps in on him and lands an explosive double right hook. Tamayo is down and out!

If he quit, so what? He was outclassed and starting to get trounced violently.
