Not if you are there live, it's part of the atmosphere of going to a boxing match. (or any major sporting event).

It's not really for our benefit watching on TV, but for those at the venue...which they're absolutely never going to stop doing, in every corner of the globe. Usually on cable (other than premium outlets such as Showtime and HBO) or network TV an extended commercial break would cover it up. Weird that FS1 chose to show it.

I liked the look of Gomez in the highlight.

Arnett has the more amateur-friendly and Gomez the more pro-suited style, but it was actually Gomez. He knocked Arnett down thrice...with headgear on. :think

I think Arnett is the better boxer but Gomez isn't bad and is a puncher. Good matchup

    Round 1

Gomez is creeping in on Arnett, shrugging his shoulders forward as he pushes out his guard, catching Arnett's left jab between his arms. Gomez is smirking at Arnett, lowering his hands briefly. Arnett circles out and extends his left jab over Gomez's head. Arnett reaches in with a left jab and falls an inch short, Gomez countering from the hip and tapping Arnett on the nose with his jab. Gomez hops backward as Arnett falls in with a jab and overhand right. Jab-feints to the body by Arnett. Gomez falls for it, sitting down and tilting straight back. Arnett leans in and grazes with a lead right hand and finishes with a left jab while pulling outside again. Gomez laughs at him. Left jab on the body by Gomez. Reach-in jab on the waistline by Arnett, counter hook on the hairline by Gomez.

    10-9 Gomez, close

10-9 Arnett, who won the jab-fest.

Barry Tompkins said it was close but has it 10-9 Arnett.

Hopkins and Malignaggi have not given their score yet as of the return from commercial.
