There is no way parkinsons is a boxing related disease, many millions of people have had it,and they never threw a punch in their lives.I will admit that boxing does not help the situation, but out of the 100's of thousands of fighters out there, how many could you name with the disease!Because I think parkinsons in our society would be about what,5 to 10%,would it be the same amount in boxing or would it be about 2%,just because a few high profile fighters got it,doesn't mean that anyone that straps on a glove will get it,and if thats the case how about this MMA shitt in 20yrs from now?

im pretty sure SRR had parkinsons also. i dont think its boxing related either.

however, i read somewhere that lead could be a cause. up until a few years ago, lead was one of the ingredients in the **** they put on a boxers eyes to stop cuts bleeding....

    could be a link?

    lead in cutmans salve..

Monsel's solution This widely-outlawed [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hemostatic"]hemostatic[/ame] quickly stops the blood flow by chemically [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cauterization"]cauterizing[/ame] the [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biological_tissue"]tissues[/ame] surrounding the cut, while generating severe [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Granulation_tissue"]scar tissue[/ame]. The application of a lead-based hemostatic can be recognized by the appearance of a dark ring of damaged tissue around the cut. However, Monsel's solution is an iron (sub)sulfate solution, contrary to popular misconception[4]—which contains no lead.

    lead and parkinsons...
