" I trained Oscar in his last fight, and he can't pull the trigger anymore, he's an older guy. If Pacquiao fights like he did against David Diaz, there is no doubt in my mind that he will knockout De La Hoya. I don't want to miss this opportunity. Then after Oscar we can fight Hatton, if he beats Paulie. Those are two huge fights right there." - Freddie Roach

that's the brain damage talking. if no one else hoya's fought has been able to knock him out, pac definitely won't be able to. Hoya is old, but his chin and the majority of his skills are still there.

   ....and I'm someone who has somewhat of a dislike for DLH!

The key point in that statement by Roach is "if he fights like he did against David Diaz.......

.....thats like saying if Mike Tyson fights like he did against Michael Spinks he'd have beaten Evander Holyfield anytime he wished, the only problem is that it would have required for Evander Holyfield to freeze up in fear at the first taste of Mike Tyson's power!

God bless Freddie Roach, he's becoming to be quite a character!:yep

......the funny thing about it is that I believe that DLH is clued in and is in cahoots with Roach, to hype a possible Pac-DLH fight. I dont believe for one second that Roach really believes what he's saying, and it just testing the waters to see what type of response the boxing media and fans have to this made up mumbo jumbo!:!: :nut

    That's FR's belief . . . . sorry I don't. :D

Even Mosley at his peak failed to do that. Only Bhops was succesful in doing that via body shot.

I see . . .Pac's name being mentioned ALONGIDE DLH's or PBF's name as a continuos HYPED job by team PAC. :yep

Pac would destroy DLH at this stage right now. If he couldn't why would Roach mention this?

Roach should have said, "I trained Hoya for his fight and I completely underestimated little Floyd's ability to handle pressure. I had a stupid idea to throw everything Oscar knows out the window and make him enter a fight as a fighter that he isn't. I blew my big chance at big money so now I want Pac to fight Hoya so I can make some Hoya money somehow."

    Roach needs to STFU.

Not saying this means Pacquiao could do it, but it has happened.

...if for some strange reason the fight happens and pac wins by UPSET! no credit for pac... DLH is just a fraction of his old self! Probably 25% of his peak!.. so sorry no credit for pac whatsoever.. although for ENTERTAINMENT purposes it would be nice to watch!

Entertainment and credit sometimes are two different things...

PAC fights Valero..ENTERTAINING yes! CREDIT no!

I just hope Pac is not thinking like his idiot trainer and concentrating on winning his next fight.
