Frampton was just better than Avalos in every way. Avalos style is tailormade for any boxer. He can't box, and he really can't fight. He had the nerve to dis Frampton, Santa Cruz and Rigondeaux like he is better than them. I never liked Avslos and he got what he deserved.

A beating and humble pie served all at once by Frampton. Avalos should give up boxing. His style is not made to compete at a high level and he can get killed against top comp at 122.

Frampton certainly has "maxed out" his physical potential alright. In terms of packing as much beef into a 122 lb frame he has excelled, no doubt. But whether this will ALWAYS work in his favour is another story.
What if he gets dragged into a long drawn-out 12 round war....will his stamina suffer due to having so much muscle? Would Carl have the same stamina as , say LSC can who carries absolutely NO spare flesh, muscle or otherwise? Or a big raw-boned bigger-framed guy like Scott quigg.

Sticky muscular guys often lack stamina. A guy with a similar physique to Carl is Canelo Alvarez, for example, and he DOES lack stamina.

What does Avalos have to do with guys from the 50's who were tough as nails and were conditioned to fight 15 hard rounds?

Whether Avalos used a S&C coach or not, he had no skills to compete with Frampton.

That is the bottom line. Having A better physique would not have made the fight any more competitive

All the TS is saying is that it didn't look like Avalos had a S&CC coach. He's entitled to his opinion. I agree with a lot of what he said. I agree with you too. But their fight was settled on skill. Today's techniques are better for some fighters. To me diet makes a bigger difference. Jmo

Avalos isn't a game planning fighter. He's a dumb fighter to me. He's a slugger, and he isn't even a skilled slugger. How he got this title shot is beyond me.

do you really hear? because these are some stupid questions if you understand?

STB made a very good and accurate observation, and most people would agree he is correct. He didn't make a PREDICTION nor did he claim to be able to make PREDICTIONS. He was basically saying that for the same level of skill and dedication a fighter who has the more modern and scientific fitness and SC is LIKELY to win.

If YOU know the in depth details of Thurman & Guerrero training and SC routines AND you thought that the two fighters were EQUAL in terms of skill, ability and dedication then it would be a useful metric to make a prediction for the fight.

Although I want to see Frampton Quigg first, I think we will see Rigo - frampton soon.
