Frampton-Avalos..a study in S+C

    The op isn't saying that that he only won because he was better trained. The point is that some trainers boxers dont believe in strength and conditioning when it can be a key factor in your strength balance power stamina, all things that will improve your skills and tecnhique. Gurrero not being able to do a chin up is fairly shocking when you think about what they do in other sports, in that crossfit thing he had no idea how to do anything. That said that stuff they emphasise doesnt work for everyone Gurrero may have been better off not doing whats hes doing, it should take time though before it takes effect. Building through the hips is a big thing now

    a good s and c trainer should help a lot though

    you're presuming they don't have great s+c based on how they look. i can't see it being disadvantageous, but you're kinda guessing about avalos and plotnykov, and vassell looked exhausted by the end.

    You can't make "definitive "statements likethat about boxing. It depends on what sort of a fight you're in. How long is a piece of string?
